China’s tariff burden from Trump trade war appears unchanged

The average weighted tariff on Chinese goods is now lower than tariffs on imports from Brazil and Canada, according to NYT Business.

NYT Business reports that, even with threats tied to President Trump’s trade war, the overall average weighted tariff applied to Chinese goods has stayed about the same.

The outlet also notes the tariff level for China is now lower than the average weighted tariffs affecting imports from other countries, including Brazil and Canada.
