Goosehead revenue rises 21% in Q2 2026 as premiums climb

The independent personal lines agency lifted its Q2 net income to $17.0 million and raised its 2026 organic total revenue target to 12% to 19%.

Goosehead Insurance, Inc. reported 21% year-over-year growth in second-quarter 2026 total revenue to $113.4 million, up from $94.0 million in Q2 2025, according to Reinsurance News. For the first half of 2026, revenue growth totaled $206 million versus $167 million in H1 2025.

The company said core revenues rose to $95.6 million in Q2 2026 from $86.8 million a year earlier, driven by client retention of 86%, new policy placements, and higher corporate and franchise agent counts and productivity. It also reported a 14% year-over-year increase in total written premiums to $1.34 billion in Q2 2026, which it described as a leading indicator of future revenue growth.

Goosehead raised Q2 net income to $17.0 million from $8.3 million a year earlier, while total operating expenses increased to $86.8 million from $78.4 million. For Q2 2026, policies in force grew 15% to about 2.1 million, corporate agent headcount rose 22% to 583, and total franchise producers increased 5% to 2,190.

The insurer revised its 2026 outlook, raising expected organic growth in total revenues to between 12% and 19% and projecting total written premiums to grow between 12% and 20%. Goosehead also reported Q2 earnings per share of $0.42, a 15% net income margin, and adjusted EBITDA up 30% to $37.9 million.
