Hedge fund assets jump by record $409.3bn in Q2 to $5.6tn

Hedgeweek cites HFR data showing the industry logged its 15th straight quarterly increase, helped by strong performance and ongoing inflows.

Global hedge fund industry assets rose by a record $409.3 billion in the second quarter to reach $5.6 trillion, according to HFR data cited by Hedgeweek.

The report attributes the increase to strong investment performance and continued investor inflows, driving the industry’s 15th consecutive quarterly expansion.

Hedgeweek said the growth marks a persistent trend of capital building across the hedge fund sector as quarterly assets kept expanding for more than three and a half years.
