Mexico ships first LNG cargo from Energia Costa Azul terminal
The project adds 0.4 Bcf/d of nominal export capacity from a single Phase 1 train, tripling Mexico's LNG export capacity.
Energia Costa Azul, Mexico's second LNG export facility, shipped its first cargo from Phase 1 on July 8, according to the project developer, as cited by the EIA.
The terminal is Mexico's first LNG export site, and its completion adds 0.4 billion cubic feet per day of nominal capacity from a single train.
The EIA reports the new facility will triple Mexico's LNG export capacity with the added export capability.
