Rekha Jhunjhunwala trims Star Health stake to 3.04%
The sale cut her holding to 3.04% as of June 30, 2026, down from 15.57% at the end of the March quarter, with the promoter holding under Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and Associates falling to nil.
Star Health and Allied Insurance Company shares fell more than 1% on Friday, July 23, after new shareholding data showed Rekha Jhunjhunwala sharply reduced her stake in the insurer during the June quarter of FY27, LiveMint Markets reported.
According to the filings, her stake dropped to 3.04% as of June 30, 2026, from 15.57% as of March 31, 2026, a move that the company data links to the sale of nearly 7.38 crore shares in the quarter.
The latest shareholding pattern also showed that the promoter holding under Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and Associates fell to nil by the end of the June quarter, compared with 1.55% as of March 31, 2026, while the exact sale dates and prices were not immediately available in the disclosure update.
Star Health shares had previously hit a 52-week low of ₹416.05 in July 2025 and later rallied to a 52-week high of ₹623.45 on July 14 this year, LiveMint Markets added. The stock was down around 2% over the past week and 0.5% over the past month at the time of the report.
