Corgi Cafe signs 24/7 lease at 121 East 27th Street in NoMad
The cafe will occupy 1,223 square feet and its lease runs through 2034, with a five-year renewal option.
Corgi Cafe, a 24/7 coffee shop tied to Corgi, an artificial intelligence powered insurance company, is preparing to open its first New York City location at 121 East 27th Street in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood, Commercial Observer reports.
The tenant took 1,223 square feet of retail space at the base of the 10 story, 1912 built commercial building, taking over the spot from event space and cocktail venue J. Bespoke.
Corgi Cafe’s lease extends through 2034 and includes an option for a five year renewal. Meridian Capital Group, the deal broker, lists monthly rent of $14,925 for the space.
Meridian’s Max Freudenberger and Michael Escava brokered the transaction, with Corgi Cafe represented by Andrew Taub and Grace Zimmer from Newmark. The outlet also cited CBRE data showing average asking rent in the nearby Herald Square area was $394 per square foot in the second quarter of 2026.
Freudenberger said East 27th Street momentum has been strong as more restaurant concepts choose the corridor, and he added the lease structure helped the transaction move efficiently and bring a new operator to the neighborhood. The cafe also has other locations in San Francisco and Atlanta, with additional openings listed as coming soon, including London.
