Ethereum and Solana lead H1 2026 crypto hack losses, Blockaid data shows
Blockaid said crypto losses in the first half of 2026 topped $1 billion, with Ethereum taking about $332 million and Solana about $326 million in stolen funds.
Onchain security platform Blockaid found that Ethereum and Solana were the hardest hit by hacks in the first half of 2026, driving the largest shares of stolen funds across major networks.
Blockaid reported that crypto losses totaled more than $1 billion during the period, with Ethereum recording roughly $332 million in stolen funds and Solana about $326 million, according to its H1 2026 security report.
The report tracked 212 security incidents in H1 2026, and said Ethereum incidents were most often linked to code exploits targeting vulnerabilities in applications, including bridges and smart contracts. It also noted key compromises involving Humanity Protocol and StablR, and described CoWSwap as the only major Ethereum incident in the period classified as a user mistake.
For Solana, Blockaid said breaches of keys and signing infrastructure accounted for most of the losses, with the network’s stolen-funds figure rising from about $127 million in 2025. Blockaid also pointed to KelpDAO as the largest single exploit of the half-year at $292 million.
