Opus starts 898,500-square-foot industrial project in Ohio

The three-building speculative development in Canal Winchester spans 72 acres, with Opus investing more than $4 million in public infrastructure improvements.

Opus has begun work on Canal Crossing Commerce Center, a three-building speculative industrial development totaling 898,500 square feet on 72 acres in Canal Winchester, Ohio, according to ConnectCRE.

The project is positioned about three miles from I-270, roughly five miles from Rickenbacker International Airport, and about 10 miles from downtown Columbus, ConnectCRE said.

Opus expects the development to create more than 400 jobs and is investing more than $4 million in public infrastructure improvements as part of the project.

ConnectCRE also noted that Red Architecture is the architect of record, Kimley-Horn is the civil engineer of record, and Colliers marketing teams Jonathan Schuen and Michael Linder are marketing the buildings for lease.
