Phoenix metro set to open 26 hotel projects by year end
The expansion would add 3,615 new hotel rooms to the regional market in 2026, according to Lodging Econometrics pipeline data cited by ConnectCRE.
The Phoenix metro is projected to have the most hotel openings among major U.S. cities this year, with 26 hotel projects scheduled to open before year end, according to ConnectCRE.
ConnectCRE cites Lodging Econometrics’ Q2 2026 United States Construction Pipeline Trend Report, saying the Valley of the Sun is set to add 3,615 new hotel rooms to the regional market in 2026. Phoenix is ahead of New York and Dallas, forecast to have 20 new projects each, while California’s Inland Empire is expected to see 12 and Austin, Texas, 11.
In the Phoenix area, Hospitality Capital Partners opened 233 Suites Unscripted by Hyatt within the Grid mixed-use development in downtown Mesa, and the AC Hotel Scottsdale Old Town opened in spring with 168 rooms.
ConnectCRE also points to additional openings planned later, including a 236-room Denū Hotel & Spa at 1 E Adams St that is expected to open in mid-September.
