Solana and Hyperliquid ETFs draw new inflows despite crypto fund outflows

Solana ETFs hold about $904 million in assets, while Hyperliquid ETFs have added $350 million since May, even as spot Bitcoin ETFs posted about $8.2 billion in outflows over eight weeks through July 6.

Solana and Hyperliquid exchange-traded funds have continued to attract fresh capital even as spot Bitcoin ETFs logged an eight-week outflow streak totaling roughly $8.2 billion through July 6, according to Yahoo Finance. The same period also saw Ethereum funds moving in the red.

Solana ETFs now hold about $904 million in assets, while Hyperliquid ETFs have pulled in $350 million since May, the outlet reported. The inflows are arriving as investors look to forthcoming catalysts tied to the underlying networks.

For Solana, Yahoo Finance pointed to the Alpenglow overhaul, which is expected to cut transaction finality times from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds, with activation on the mainnet targeted sometime between August and October. Faster settlement is described as the type of improvement institutional customers seek, potentially supporting additional onboarding in the future.

The article also highlighted Solana's role in tokenized stock trading, saying the chain handled the majority of tokenized stock trading volume, totaling $5.7 billion in the second quarter. It added a caveat that Solana's value accrual mechanism is less direct than some investors may expect, and noted that Hyperliquid ETFs are brand new, meaning part of the $350 million inflow likely reflects initial capital onboarding to a new product category.
