Binance adds USDT-settled gold and silver options via ADGM

The new contracts are listed through Nest Exchange Limited and are designed to let retail users trade without taking delivery of the metals.

Binance is launching USDT-settled options on gold and silver through its Abu Dhabi-regulated exchange, expanding its suite of traditional market products alongside cryptocurrencies, Cointelegraph reports.

The options will be listed through Nest Exchange Limited on Binance’s Abu Dhabi Global Market-regulated Recognized Investment Exchange (ADGM). Binance said the contracts provide exposure to gold and silver price moves without requiring traders to take delivery of the underlying metals.

Binance plans to allow retail users to buy options only, while eligible institutional users and liquidity providers can also write contracts. The exchange framed the restriction for retail as a way to limit downside risk to the premium paid, while enabling institutions to collect premiums.

The rollout builds on Binance’s gold and silver perpetual futures introduced in January, and comes as tokenized bullion remains a separate thrust in regulated crypto-linked commodities. Cointelegraph also notes that Tether’s XAUt and Paxos Gold have focused on tokenizing physical bullion, with XAUt recently receiving Shariah certification and ADGM recognizing XAUt as an accepted spot commodity.
