CFC adds affirmative AI coverage to its media policy effective July 30
The update also revises CFC’s cyber coverages with affirmative AI language, extending the same level of protection as its Cyber Proactive Response product.
CFC, a specialist insurance provider, said it is adding affirmative AI coverage to its media policy, with the change taking effect July 30. The company said the broader update is part of a program to embed affirmative AI language across its portfolio to give customers clearer policy terms as businesses increasingly use AI-assisted content creation.
CFC said the media policy can still respond to claims tied to AI-contributed content, including defamation and intellectual property infringement, along with other media and professional liability issues. It also said the policy combines multimedia and professional liability coverage, including defamation and IP infringement, with cyber and privacy protection and general liability cover.
Alongside the media liability enhancements, CFC updated its cyber coverages with affirmative AI language. Insureds will benefit from the same level of cyber protection available through CFC’s flagship Cyber Proactive Response, or CPR, product.
The Insurance Journal also noted that Lockton launched a global data centers and digital infrastructure practice. The consultancy is designed to help organizations manage the risks tied to infrastructure that stores, processes, and moves information worldwide, drawing on Lockton’s experience across hyperscale campuses and power related infrastructure.
