Chip stocks shed more than $1 trillion as AI selloff spreads

Nvidia, SK Hynix, and Samsung Electronics led the decline after the selloff began at the market close on Friday.

Chip-related stocks slid sharply, wiping out more than $1 trillion in value as a selloff spread across companies tied to the AI boom, according to CNBC World.

The outlet said Nvidia, SK Hynix, and Samsung Electronics were among the biggest drivers of the drop following the selloff that started at the market close on Friday.

CNBC World added that the declines have extended beyond a single name, affecting the broader group of chip companies associated with AI demand.
