Cloze launches open house app that digitizes visitor sign-ins
The app lets buyers register by scanning a QR code or using a provided tablet, then automatically creates contacts and visit logs in Cloze’s CRM.
Cloze has introduced an Open House app for its Enterprise customers that replaces paper sign-in sheets with digital check-ins at property showings. Visitors can register by scanning a QR code with their own phone or by signing in on a tablet or laptop provided at the property, and their details are captured automatically.
According to HousingWire, the app feeds visitor contact records, attendance logs, and home feedback forms into Cloze’s customer relationship management system. When someone checks in, Cloze creates a buyer contact, records the property visited, and logs the date and time of the visit, while feedback responses are attached to the contact record.
HousingWire reports that the app is built on Cloze’s Forge platform, which allows organizations to customize applications without coding by describing the needed functionality in plain language. Cloze also said it generates printable materials for each property, including QR codes, posters, and table cards that direct visitors to the digital sign-in page.
Cloze said an open house rarely sells the home being viewed, but remains a strong lead source, and it cited National Association of Realtors data that nearly half of homebuyers attend an open house during their search. The company added that the digital workflow is intended to reduce lost leads from misplaced or unentered handwritten sign-in sheets.
