CoStar residential segment turns adjusted EBITDA positive with $12M profit
CoStar posted $925M in Q2 2026 revenue, and net new bookings totaled $69M during the quarter.
CoStar Group reported 18% year-over-year revenue growth to $925 million in Q2 2026, its 61st straight quarter of double-digit expansion, according to HousingWire. The company also said net income was $55 million and adjusted EBITDA rose 116% year-over-year to $184 million.
For the first time, CoStar’s residential portfolio turned adjusted EBITDA positive, generating $12 million in profit. HousingWire also noted the residential improvement marked a $41 million gain versus the first quarter of 2026.
CoStar attributed the residential turnaround to new artificial intelligence products aimed at boosting property exposure and agent workflows. HousingWire said Homes.com AI was introduced earlier in the year, and Apartments.com AI launched in June, with users logging more than 500,000 AI sessions and averaging 20 minutes per session, about 2.8 times longer than non-AI users.
On the bookings side, HousingWire reported CoStar recorded $69 million in net new bookings during the quarter, a 3% increase from Q1 2026, while operating cost growth was held to 2%.
