Lemonade adds 166,000 customers in Q2 2026
In-force premium rose 32% year over year to $1.43 billion, while Lemonade reported a $43 million net loss in the quarter.
Lemonade released its Q2 2026 results, ending the quarter with 3,308,666 customers, up 23% year over year. The company added about 166,000 customers during the quarter, Coverager reports.
Lemonade’s in-force premium totaled $1.43 billion, a 32% increase compared with the same period last year. The company spent $78 million on sales and marketing in the quarter, up from $60 million in Q2 2025, and reported a net loss of $43 million, compared with a $44 million net loss in Q2 2025.
The company said its cash, cash equivalents, and investments totaled about $1.2 billion as of June 30, 2026, and that $330 million is required to be held as regulatory surplus at its insurance subsidiaries. Lemonade also filed to introduce pet insurance in Idaho effective November 18, 2026, with the campaign supported by additional marketing channels to drive awareness.
