Praxis Reciprocal Exchange appoints Ross Bowie as CEO

Bowie, who previously led Private Client Select and Orchid Insurance, will also run PRE Risk Management, the attorney-in-fact for Praxis Reciprocal Exchange.

Praxis Reciprocal Exchange, a Florida-domiciled reciprocal exchange home insurer, has named Ross Bowie as its Chief Executive Officer. Bowie will also serve as Chief Executive Officer of PRE Risk Management, the attorney-in-fact for Praxis Reciprocal Exchange, the company said.

Praxis launched in 2025 and has completed multiple policy takeouts while building what it described as a disciplined underwriting operation in Florida’s property market. The leadership change comes as the insurer looks to start the next phase of a growth plan focused on catastrophe-exposed customers across Florida.

According to Reinsurance News, Praxis said the initiative includes deliberate growth of its MGA platform, with new products and programs and additional risk capital partners. The insurer also said Bowie brings more than 20 years of industry experience focused on Florida property insurance.

Praxis noted that Bowie most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Private Client Select and previously was President and Chief Underwriting Officer at Orchid Insurance. It also said he spent nearly a decade at ASI, where he most recently served as Vice President, ASI Select.
