Warren and Schiff urge SEC to probe paid Trump Media service
The groups said Truth Social posts by Trump have repeatedly moved global markets sharply.
U.S. senators Elizabeth Warren and Brad shied urged the SEC to investigate a paid service linked to Trump Media, citing concerns about how faster access to Donald Trump posts may affect markets, CNBC Markets reports.
The lawmakers pointed to the role that Trump Media content on Truth Social has played in recent market swings, saying Trump has often used the platform to publish policy announcements or other newsworthy information.
They argue that the service provides quicker access to those posts, which they say has sent markets sharply up or down, and they are calling for regulatory scrutiny by the SEC.
