ADM plans to expand four US oilseed crush facilities, adding about 700,000 tonnes of capacity to support biofuels demand, World Grain reports.

The company expects the projects to increase usage of oilseeds by about 25 million bushels, with the initial investments focused on US production facilities and designed as targeted improvements to existing operations.

ADM said it is actively evaluating similar enhancements at other North American crush facilities, emphasizing that biofuels policy in the US is supporting demand and creating opportunities for farmers and customers.

The expansion follows other recent investments, including upgrades at ADM’s Clinton, Iowa corn facility and an elevator in Optima, Oklahoma, according to World Grain.
