Aon CEO calls generative AI an accelerant for its strategy
Aon’s CEO said the firm plans to use generative AI to speed up work already built around risk capital, human capital, and business services, rather than adopting AI as a standalone strategy.
Aon CEO Greg Case said the company does not view artificial intelligence as a standalone strategy, but instead as an acceleration of what it has been working on for years.
Speaking during Aon’s Q2 2026 earnings call, Case said generative AI is the key accelerant, pointing to efforts to connect the firm’s operations through areas including risk capital, human capital, and AI business services.
He described Aon’s approach as focused on delivering data, including a curated “data lake,” to practitioners and trusted advisors, arguing that the differentiator is not only analytics but also how information is put to use.
Case also said Aon orients AI around revenue and growth, rather than productivity alone, and he characterized the move as a way to accelerate existing revenue-generating engines for clients with help from partners.
