FirstTeam Real Estate rolls out an AI operating system for deals

The California brokerage says its Purlin-powered platform combines tools for contracts, negotiations and client communications, with agents able to interact via voice, text, email and chatbots.

HousingWire reports that FirstTeam Real Estate, a California brokerage with $6.12 billion in 2025 volume across 5,978 transactions, has partnered with Purlin to deploy an AI-powered operating system across its real estate workflow.

The integration combines PurlinOS, Purlin Close, and Purlin Offer & Negotiate into a single platform for contracts, negotiations, transaction management, and client communications, with agent interaction available through voice, text, email, and chatbot.

In the conversation, FirstTeam vice president of marketing and strategic initiatives Lauren Henss and Purlin chief revenue officer Tim Quirk emphasized that AI is meant to support agents rather than replace their expertise, particularly for negotiations and local market knowledge.

Quirk also outlined how successful broker AI adoption depends on education, agent buy-in and the ability to measure utilization, saying integrations are helping streamline items such as compliance coordination from contract to close and automating parts of marketing and lead nurturing.
