Lohia Corp IPO shares debut above issue price on BSE and NSE

The IPO was priced at ₹425 and is an offer for sale of 2.59 crore shares totaling ₹1,101.28 crore, with the stock climbing quickly after listing.

Lohia Corp shares made a positive start on Indian exchanges on Thursday, 30 July, after debuting at a premium to the IPO price. On the BSE, the stock was listed at ₹460, 8.2% above the ₹425 issue price, and later moved up to ₹480.75, while on the NSE it began at ₹461, 8.5% higher, and rose to ₹480.55. LiveMint Markets noted that grey market indications had pointed to a roughly 4% premium at listing, but the actual debut exceeded those expectations. The article also said the listing happened while broader market sentiment remained cautious amid US-Iran tensions, rising crude oil prices, and expectations for interest rate hikes. It added that equity benchmark Sensex traded in a range during morning deals, after the US Federal Reserve held rates on 29 July while discussing the possibility of hiking, with three of the 12 policymakers dissenting and voting for a 25 basis point hike at the July meeting. The IPO was described as an offer for sale of 2.59 crore shares, aggregating to ₹1,101.28 crore, with the book build opening on 23 July and closing on 27 July after an overall subscription of more than 7 times. Lead managers were Equirus Capital Limited and Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors Limited, with MUFG Intime India Private Limited as registrar, and allotment finalised on 28 July with shares credited on 29 July.
