NYC TLC to lease 39,000 square feet at 250 Broadway in Financial District
The Taxi and Limousine Commission will take space on the fourth floor and part of the fifth floor, with a move-in expected in the first quarter of 2027.
The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission will relocate its headquarters to AmTrustRE’s 250 Broadway in Manhattan’s Financial District, Commercial Observer reported. The TLC is taking 39,000 square feet across the fourth floor and a portion of the fifth floor.
AmTrustRE said the new space includes private offices, conference rooms, and a hearing room for public proceedings. The move is expected to happen in the first quarter of 2027, and the lease length and asking rent were not disclosed.
Commercial Observer also reported that 250 Broadway is a 31-story, 648,000-square-foot office tower that is now 90 percent leased. Other tenants in the building include WeWork, law firm Rose & Rose, and academic publisher IGI.
The article noted that the average asking rent for Financial District office space was $60.61 per square foot in the first quarter, citing Colliers data. In the transaction, AmTrustRE was represented in-house by Jonathan Bennett, while CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield handled the sides of the deal.
