Amazon receives $600 million in tariff refunds and plans to pass it on

Amazon said it received $600 million in Trump tariff refunds tied to a Supreme Court ruling that many of the levies were illegal.

CNBC World reports Amazon received $600 million in tariff refunds related to Trump-era levies that the Supreme Court ruled were illegal.

The outlet says the refunds address a prior gap in Amazon disclosures about whether the company would seek to recoup tariff costs.

CNBC World adds that Amazon plans to pass the refund value along to some customers, indicating the company expects the tariff-related benefit to flow through to retail pricing for eligible buyers.
