Bharat Electronics wins additional ₹847 crore defence orders

The new awards lift BELs disclosed orders since July 13 to ₹1,419 crore, while its order book stood at ₹72,258 crore as of July 1.

Bharat Electronics Ltd. said it secured additional defence orders worth ₹847 crore in the period since its last disclosure on July 13, with the company noting the awards were announced in post-market hours on Friday. The fresh orders cover areas including electro-optics, security operations centres, seekers, components, spares, and services.

The company also pointed to a prior set of wins in recent weeks, including ₹572 crore of orders disclosed on July 13 for items such as communication equipment, avionics, encryptors, tank sub-systems, and upgrades and spares. In late June, BEL reported orders worth ₹1,081 crore spanning communication equipment, radars, CBRN protection systems, seekers, avionics, upgrades, and services.

Despite the sequence of order wins, BEL shares have remained under pressure in 2026. LiveMint Markets notes the stock ended July down 6% to ₹387, closed five of the last six months in the red, and is down about 3% year-to-date.

In its latest quarterly update, BEL reported net profit of ₹1,316 crore, up 47.3% year-on-year, with revenue from operations rising 37% year-on-year to ₹5,533 crore. The company said its EBITDA rose about 12% year-on-year to ₹1,389 crore, while its EBITDA margin narrowed to 25.1%, and it reported an order book of ₹72,258 crore as of July 1, 2026.
