Kroger Marketplace to take over most of former Walmart store in Dunwoody
The store deal covers 118,000 square feet of a 183,000 square foot building, and the planned format includes a drive-thru pharmacy and fuel station.
Kroger Marketplace is taking over most of a former Walmart store near Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, according to reporting from ConnectCRE and the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
The space is part of Perimeter Village, which is owned by Kimco, and the agreement will allow Kroger to occupy 118,000 square feet of a 183,000 square foot building. Walmart vacated the location in 2024.
The proposed Kroger Marketplace will feature a drive-thru pharmacy and fuel station, along with a Starbucks coffee counter and specialty departments such as baby apparel and kitchenware.
ConnectCRE reports that Kroger has not disclosed a timeline for opening the new store, and it is also unclear what Kimco plans for the remaining space in the former Walmart building.
