WTW expands Neuron AI placement platform beyond initial cyber and UK property
WTW says Neuron has shortened international property quotes to minutes and reached US$60 million in follow-capacity per placement, with additional D&O and cyber trading live via early adopter Liberty Specialty Markets.
WTW has started rolling out its Neuron AI-powered placement platform beyond its initial footprint in cyber placements in North America and UK property business, with a wider rollout planned through the rest of the year, according to Insurance Business. In the international property facility that runs on Neuron, WTW says quote turnaround time has been reduced to minutes rather than days. The facility has also grown to US$60 million in follow capacity per placement across territories including Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, South Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada. Liberty Specialty Markets is described as an early adopter of Neuron to speed up follow trading, and the two firms have since added live D&O and cyber trading to the platform. WTW frames the value for insurers as connecting once to access a growing pool of brokers submitting more standardized, cleaner data. The Neuron expansion is positioned as part of WTW's broader technology push that follows its acquisition of Newfront, the specialty broker it closed in January in a deal valued at up to US$1.3 billion, the outlet reported. WTW says it plans to fuse Newfront's Navigator client platform and its agentic AI automation tools with Neuron and its existing data and analytics into a single digital ecosystem for brokers.
