OCTO partners with Sedgwick to combine telematics and claims services
The joint solution is designed to speed crash and claim intake, support liability assessments, and improve fraud detection using data from connected vehicles and OCTO sensors.
OCTO Telematics has partnered with Sedgwick to combine telematics data with claims management services, aiming to reduce claims costs and processing times.
The companies said their telematics-agnostic offering will draw on connected-vehicle data, fleet management systems, and OCTO sensors to support crash and claim intake, liability assessments, fraud detection, and driver safety alerts.
Sedgwick provides claims, loss adjusting, benefits administration, and product recall services to more than 10,000 clients in 80 countries with a workforce of over 33,000 employees, and the companies said the transaction aligns with Sedgwick’s strategy to expand its claims and care capabilities across key markets.
In comments carried by Coverager, OCTO described telematics as an enabler for a more transparent, efficient, and sustainable claims model, while Sedgwick said leaders across motor, fleet, and transportation would see value from the combined capabilities.
