The Wideman Co. buys TotalEnergies Tower in downtown Houston
The 35-story, Class-A office tower at 1201 Louisiana St. adds 850,000 square feet to The Wideman Co.’s portfolio, and the company plans to hold it long term.
Bisnow reports The Wideman Co. has bought TotalEnergies Tower, a 35-story Class-A office property at 1201 Louisiana St. in downtown Houston, from Brookfield Properties.
The transaction adds 850,000 square feet of office space to The Wideman Co.’s portfolio, which also includes Jones on Main at 708 and 712 Main St., acquired in 2024. The Wideman Co. said it has been looking for another significant Houston investment since purchasing Jones on Main.
The company plans to hold the TotalEnergies Tower long term, according to a Downtown Houston+ press release. The building houses TotalEnergies’ North American headquarters and the Petroleum Club of Houston on the penthouse level.
Separately in Houston commercial real estate, Avison Young hired Matthew Seliger as principal and market leader of its Houston office, replacing Wade Bowlin, and Cushman & Wakefield added Drew Morris to its Houston tenant representation team. Bisnow reports these moves are aimed at growing each firm’s local platform.
