Solana bots using HumidiFi saw higher positive WSOL outcomes
A study comparing 244,733 HumidiFi-invoking transactions with 218,678 others found positive WSOL balance changes about 2.97 times more often in a single 12-address bot group.
New research into automated trading on Solana found a nearly threefold difference in the rate of positive wrapped SOL, or WSOL, outcomes inside a small cluster of bots. Transactions that invoked HumidiFi, which the paper characterizes as a proprietary automated market maker, recorded a positive WSOL balance change about 62.3% of the time, compared with 21.01% for other transactions in the same 12-address group.
The comparison covered 244,733 HumidiFi-invoking transactions, including 152,502 with a positive WSOL balance change, and 218,678 other transactions, including 45,949 with a positive change. The resulting rate ratio was about 2.97, based on the study period.
The authors, per CryptoSlate, examined transactions tied to 200 bot-related addresses, selecting the top 100 addresses linked to Trojan and the top 100 linked to SolanaMevBot. They grouped 158 addresses into four clusters using indicators including transaction intensity, execution success, fees, and asset breadth, and treated 42 addresses as noise.
The paper notes that the analysis measures a change between pre-transaction and post-transaction WSOL token balances, and it does not fully net strategy returns to isolate fees, tips, timing, or other factors. It says the results show correlation within that cluster, not proof that access to HumidiFi caused the performance gap, and the routes for the central 12-address group routed heavily through Jupiter and also invoked proprietary AMMs including HumidiFi.
