Hedge funds add to bullish crude oil bets as US-Iran diplomacy revives
Hedge funds raised bullish crude oil positions at the fastest pace since March, even though oil fell sharply on Monday after diplomacy hopes eased supply concerns.
Hedgeweek, citing Bloomberg, reported that hedge funds increased their bullish positioning in crude oil at the fastest pace since March.
The buildup came despite a sharp drop in oil prices on Monday, after signs of renewed diplomatic efforts between the United States and Iran reduced concerns about global energy supply disruptions.
