Trump criticizes Exxon and Chevron amid Iran conflict oil-price surge
U.S. crude is up about 20% since the Feb. 28 U.S. and Israel strikes involving Iran, CNBC reports.
President Donald Trump said Exxon and Chevron made “too much money” during the Iran conflict as U.S. crude prices rose, according to CNBC Markets and CNBC World.
CNBC reports that U.S. crude has gained about 20% since the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran on Feb. 28.
The comments frame the higher oil-price move as a profit concern for major producers during the period of heightened tensions.
