Trump warns Iran faces last chance to strike deal on Strait of Hormuz

Trump said a prospective agreement would aim to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end a five-month-long war.

US President Donald Trump said Iran has a final opportunity to reach an agreement with Washington to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end what he described as a five-month-long war, according to SCMP Economy.

Trump made the remarks at the Oval Office, telling reporters that negotiations with Tehran are ongoing despite Tehran’s assertion that no direct talks are taking place, SCMP Economy reported.

The outlet said Trump framed the moment as a deadline for Iran to sign what he called a good document.
