Allianz Partners appoints Carsten Staat to lead APAC and MEA
The appointment takes effect August 1, 2026, and Staat will report to Allianz Partners Chief Markets Officer Jacob Fuest.
Allianz Partners has appointed Carsten Staat as Regional Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, effective August 1, 2026.
In the new role, Staat will report to Jacob Fuest, Chief Markets Officer of Allianz Partners, succeeding Vinay Surana, who led the region for six years.
Surana will move to a new position as Senior Advisor to Tomas Kunzmann, Allianz Partners CEO, starting August 1, 2026, through the end of the year.
Allianz Partners said Staat previously served for four years as Managing Director for Allianz Partners Germany, citing growth, customer satisfaction, and partnerships he helped secure, and noted he joined the Allianz Group in 2001.
