Aon names Choisel Murray Global Chief Commercial Officer for captives
The Bermuda based executive will oversee global commercial strategy for Aon Captive & Insurance Management, including special purpose insurer and segregated account structures used for ILS.
Aon has promoted long-time Bermuda based employee Choisel Murray to Global Chief Commercial Officer within the Aon Captive & Insurance Management business, giving her strategic oversight over the unit’s global commercial activities, according to Artemis.
In the new role, Murray will lead commercial strategy for Aon’s captives and insurance management work, including insurance linked securities related structure management, the outlet said.
Artemis added that Murray will also serve as global commercial leader across special purpose insurer, or SPI, and segregated and protected account structures, which are often used to facilitate ILS arrangements and can act as issuance vehicles for ILS instruments including catastrophe bonds.
Before the promotion, Murray held multiple roles at Aon in Bermuda, including Assistant Vice President, Vice President, Senior Vice President and Head of Client Origination, and most recently served as Deputy Managing Director in the Captive & Insurance Management division with responsibilities that included Commercial Risk Solutions, Artemis said.
