Frieder Knüpling appointed to TransRe Europe supervisory board

The appointment adds a veteran reinsurance and risk leader to the board at TransRe Europe SE, part of Transatlantic Holdings.

Transatlantic Holdings, the reinsurance arm of Alleghany Corporation, has appointed Frieder Knüpling to the Supervisory Board of TransRe Europe SE, according to Reinsurance News.

Knüpling brings more than 25 years of industry experience, including work engaging with regulators and leadership roles spanning multiple jurisdictions.

He currently serves as a Senior Advisor for Boston Consulting Group, and previously spent more than 14 years at SCOR’s Group Executive Committee, where he led large multinational teams and held posts including Group Chief Risk Officer and CEO of SCOR L&H.

In a LinkedIn post cited by Reinsurance News, Knüpling said he is honored by the appointment and expects to work with fellow board members and management to support the company’s continued success.
