Li Ka Shing Foundation and Disney to offer 24,000 Toy Story 5 tickets
Screenings for foreign domestic helpers will run at six Hong Kong cinemas on four Sundays in August, with registration opening 9pm Wednesday on Klook.
The Li Ka Shing Foundation has partnered with The Walt Disney Company to provide 24,000 foreign domestic helpers in Hong Kong with free tickets to watch Toy Story 5, as part of a collaboration aimed at supporting migrant workers, SCMP Economy reports.
The foundation said screenings will be held across six local cinemas operated by Broadway Circuit over four consecutive Sundays in August. Locations include Tsuen Wan, Taikoo Shing, Mong Kok, Kwun Tong, Central and Yuen Long, with showings scheduled for August 9, 16, 23 and 30.
Film-goers will receive free popcorn and drinks, along with a souvenir from Hong Kong Disneyland, the outlet added. Registration opens at 9pm Wednesday through online ticketing platform Klook, and tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
SCMP Economy also notes the foundation said that over the past three years, it and Disney have welcomed some 13,000 domestic helpers to Hong Kong Disneyland.
