Rokstone hires AIG veteran to launch construction E&O push
The specialty MGA says the construction errors and omissions offering would bundle E&O with its existing builder's risk and general liability capacity for brokers.
Rokstone is expanding its US financial lines effort by hiring James Hebert, an AIG veteran, to lead a new errors and omissions (E&O) offering aimed at the construction sector, according to Insurance Business.
Hebert joins from AIG, where his background focused on financial lines, risk analysis, and negotiation, and Rokstone said the hire fits its broader strategy of building books by bringing in underwriting talent from major commercial carriers.
The move is tied to Rokstone's existing construction footprint through its Rokstone Construction Risk Underwriters unit, which insures wood-frame developers and last year launched a $5 million primary general liability wrap alongside more than $100 million of builder's risk capacity.
Rokstone said the additional E&O product would create a single MGA relationship for brokers covering builder's risk, general liability, and professional liability exposures tied to construction projects, while adding a second US growth engine to complement its London-led directors and officers and professional indemnity business. The insurer also pointed to strong market conditions for excess and surplus lines, citing that premiums climbed past $95 billion in 2024, an 11.0% year-on-year rise.
