Antares Global names Ahmed El Tabbakh to oversee its business
The reorganization splits functions including Claims, Actuarial, Compliance and Risk to provide more direct support for Antares Retail and Antares Commercial.
Antares Global, an international specialty insurance and reinsurance group, announced a new leadership structure that brings Ahmed El Tabbakh in to oversee the business. The change includes a reworked reporting line, with the leadership team set to report directly to El Tabbakh, according to the company announcement.
Under the new structure, Mark Graham will continue as Commercial CEO of the Antares Commercial division, which includes AMAL Syndicate 1274 and Antares Re in Bermuda. Pantelis Koulovasilopoulos will remain Retail CEO, overseeing Antares Insurance Company Limited and Scorpius MGA.
Kevin Wenzel, Antares Global's chief financial officer, will take on an expanded finance and operational brief, becoming CEO of the Antares Global Management central service company. The Antares Legacy division will remain led by Jagdis Barber as Legacy CEO, reporting to Wenzel.
The company said several functions previously shared, including Claims, Actuarial, Compliance and Risk, plus certain operational functions, will be divided so the Antares Retail and Antares Commercial units receive more dedicated specialist support. The announcement also said the reorganization follows the passing of former Chief Executive Officer, Michael van der Straaten.
