Chinese defence AI firm says US surveillance assets concentrated in Middle East
The company linked its claim to alleged US preparation for a possible operation, based on open-source intelligence and AI-powered analysis.
Housing and markets are not the focus of this story, but SCMP Economy highlights a Chinese defence AI player, Hangzhou-based Jingan Technology, that says it detected an unusually large concentration of US surveillance assets across the Middle East.
According to SCMP Economy, Jingan made the assertion in a post on its official account on January 6, describing the build-up as potentially indicating Washington was already preparing for a possible military operation.
SCMP Economy notes the company’s findings were shared roughly two months before US air strikes on Iran, and that the firm attributed its analysis to open-source intelligence and AI-powered processing.
The outlet also reports that while observers have warned against Jingan’s marketing claims, company materials and public disclosures indicate its software has been deployed within China’s public security system and state security apparatus, and some branches of the military.
