Dollar eases as risk sentiment lifts GBP/USD near 1.3450
The move comes as traders position ahead of U.S. ADP and ISM Services PMI data, while markets watch for signals around a potential U.S.-Iran deal affecting the Strait of Hormuz.
FXStreet highlighted a soft U.S. dollar tone in early Wednesday trading, pointing to reduced haven demand as risk sentiment improved with hopes for a possible U.S.-Iran deal and a potential reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
In that context, GBP/USD was reported hovering around 1.3450, with the article saying the pair was inching higher above that level during European trading.
EUR/USD also held near 1.1550, supported by the same backdrop of improving risk sentiment that, according to FXStreet, keeps the safe-haven U.S. dollar on the back foot.
Attention was directed to upcoming U.S. economic data, with traders looking to ADP Employment and the ISM Services PMI, which the outlet said are also in focus alongside related Mideast headlines.
