Fort Worth and Tarrant County draw more institutional real estate investment
Fort Worth added nearly 20,000 residents from July 1, 2024 to the same date last year, helping commercial markets including industrial, office, and multifamily build momentum.
Fort Worth’s faster growth is lifting demand for commercial real estate in the broader Tarrant County area, with institutional investors increasingly asking to tour assets and development sites, according to Bisnow.
Bisnow reports that from July 1, 2024 to the same date a year earlier, Fort Worth added nearly 20,000 new residents, pushing its population above 1 million and making it the 10th most populous city in the U.S. The outlet also linked the uptick to a rise in development tied to large scale magnet production, semiconductor manufacturing, and mixed use projects.
As activity increased, commercial real estate firms have stepped up investment in Fort Worth and Tarrant County, and Colliers data points to positive momentum across industrial, office, and multifamily markets, Bisnow said.
Bisnow also noted that bulk warehousing has emerged as a top industrial product in the area, and cited LanCarte Commercial saying it frequently receives calls tied to that demand.
