North Korea warns of “additional military options” after Japan defense shift
Kim Yo-jong said North Korea will respond to Japan’s moves to acquire long range strike capabilities and “make Japan feel” its security is more exposed.
North Korea said it will pursue unspecified additional military options in response to Japan’s expanding defense capabilities, according to a statement carried by the official Korean Central News Agency, as reported by SCMP Economy.
Kim Yo-jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, accused Tokyo of reviving ambitions of a “war criminal state” and warned that Japan’s possession of capabilities for a pre-emptive attack is a threat to global peace and security.
She said North Korea would make Japan feel its security is exposed to greater danger due to what she described as Japan’s greed and added, “We should make it regret.”
