GM extends China joint venture for 20 years amid US tensions
GM said the renewed venture will prioritize selling Buick and Cadillac in China and exporting Chevrolet models built in China for non-US markets.
General Motors said it will extend its joint venture with a Chinese automaker for 20 years despite geopolitical tensions involving the United States.
According to CNBC, GM said the partnership will focus on domestic sales in China of Buick and Cadillac models.
GM also said the venture will export Chevrolet products built in China for markets outside the United States, reflecting how the company plans to keep cross-border production and sales flowing despite broader strain.
