Radian exits real estate services and plans sale of its title business
Radian said the title sale is expected to close in the fourth quarter, pending regulatory approvals, as it refocuses on mortgage insurance and specialty coverage after buying Inigo.
Radian Group has completed the sale of its Real Estate Services business to PLACE and has signed an agreement to sell its Title business, finishing its exit from non-core operations, Coverager reported.
The company said the Real Estate Services businesses being transferred include property management, real estate brokerage, valuation, and title underwriting and settlement operations that were previously reported in its “All Other” segment. PLACE will add those capabilities to its existing real estate, mortgage, insurance, and home services platform, and Radian did not disclose deal terms.
Radian expects the Title business sale to close in the fourth quarter, subject to regulatory approvals. The transactions follow Radian’s 2025 strategic review and its $1.67 billion acquisition of Lloyd’s insurer Inigo, which closed in February 2026.
Radian CEO-elect Mike Weinbach said the company will focus on its mortgage insurance franchise and specialty insurance business, while CEO Rick Thornberry characterized the moves as an execution milestone for the post review strategy that included the Inigo acquisition.
