Third Point says Block is entering a key transition phase
Third Point cited Cash App’s scale, saying it has nearly 60 million monthly transacting actives and that the next focus is deeper monetization.
Third Point Management, a New York-based investment advisor, highlighted Block, Inc. as it detailed positioning in its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, according to Yahoo Finance.
In the letter, the firm said Block is entering one of the most important transitions in its history, arguing that the earlier investment debate around Cash App’s user growth and engagement is largely complete.
Third Point pointed to Cash App’s scale, noting nearly 60 million monthly transacting actives, and said it expects the next chapter to be deeper monetization, while also arguing the market is underestimating that opportunity.
Yahoo Finance also reported that Block shares closed at $82.09 on August 3, 2026, valuing the company at $48.85 billion, with a one-month return of 5.84% and a 52-week gain of 9.03%.
