Coinbase expands U.K. users' access to select U.S. equities in-app
The trading rollout for eligible users begins August 6, 2026, and includes 24/5 trading with fractional shares starting at 1 pound ($1.35).
Coinbase is rolling out stock trading for its U.K. customers, allowing them to buy, sell, and manage select U.S. equities in the same app as their crypto holdings, CoinDesk reports.
The exchange says eligible U.K. users will progressively gain access to the equities offering as of August 6, 2026. Trading will be available 24/5 with no commission, and fractional shares can start with as little as 1 pound ($1.35), with account funding supported via sterling or USDC.
CoinDesk also noted market momentum signals for crypto, saying U.S.-listed spot bitcoin ETFs have recorded a net inflow of $626 million over three days, putting them on track for their strongest weekly performance since early May, according to SoSoValue.
Separately, bitcoin was reported hovering near $64,830, up 0.8% over 24 hours and 1.3% on the week, while the broader market stayed mostly range-bound, with the move tied more to macro expectations than new crypto-specific demand.
