Houthis claim missiles hit Saudi oil tankers off Yanbu and Aden

The attacks were described as the eighth and ninth Saudi oil tankers targeted since the blockade began last month, while WTI fell 0.2% to $74.22 at the time of writing.

Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis said they launched missile attacks on Saudi oil tankers off the Red Sea port city of Yanbu and in the Gulf of Aden, according to FXStreet citing Reuters.

Earlier, the UK Maritime Trade Operations reported an incident southeast of Aden, though it was unclear whether it was connected to the claimed strikes.

A Houthi military spokesman said the latest attacks were the eighth and ninth Saudi oil tankers targeted since the blockade started last month.

At the time of writing, West Texas Intermediate was down 0.2% on the day to $74.22.
