Twelve Securis partners in Taiwan to expand catastrophe bond distribution
The new channel expands access to catastrophe bonds and mixed ILS strategies, with Concord Capital Management also qualified for Kaohsiung’s Asset Management Zone pilot program.
Twelve Securis, a catastrophe bond and insurance-linked securities (ILS) investment manager, has set up new distribution partnerships in Taiwan as it expands its presence across Asia’s institutional markets, according to Artemis.
The firm will work with Concord Capital Management, a financial services subsidiary of Taiwan’s Concord Securities Group, to promote an alternative investment strategy centered primarily on catastrophe bonds. Artemis also reports that Concord Capital Management recently obtained qualification to participate in the Kaohsiung Asset Management Zone multi-channel business pilot program.
Artemis said Twelve Securis specializes in ILS investments, focusing on catastrophe bonds and Private ILS transactions, and that the risks in catastrophe bonds are driven by natural disaster occurrences. The outlet added that the return patterns can be relatively less correlated with traditional equity and fixed income markets, which Twelve Securis positions as a diversification tool for wealth management channels.
Through the partnership, Artemis reports that Concord will support the distribution of cat bonds, mixed ILS strategies, and solutions including Restricted Tier 1 (RT1) and multi-asset approaches. Artemis also said Twelve Securis expects strong demand from wealth management channels and large domestic institutional investors, while Concord plans to deepen local research capabilities and introduce overseas strategies that match market demand.
