AXA XL to buy S-RM cyber and corporate intelligence consultancy stake
The purchase is expected to close by the end of September, after regulatory approvals.
AXA XL, the property and casualty specialty risk division of AXA, has agreed to acquire the remaining shares of S-RM, a corporate intelligence and cyber security consultancy, according to Reinsurance News.
AXA XL currently holds about 49% of S-RM. The deal is subject to customary closing conditions, including receipt of regulatory approvals, and is expected to take place by the end of September.
S-RM, established in 2005, provides crisis response, intelligence, and cyber security services, including cyber risk assessment, managed detection and incident response, specialist investigations, and geopolitical intelligence.
AXA XL said the acquisition will support its strategy to expand its prevention offering through AXA XL Risk Advisory, a newly created business unit dedicated to prevention, and that S-RM will continue delivering services to its global client base as part of that unit.
